Margaret Clarkson

Margaret Clarkson is Vice President of Talent, Learning & Diversity at Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC). An award-winning leader, she works closely with Marsh's HR and TLD groups to drive a variety of talent and learning initiatives, including leadership development. Previously at MMC's Guy Carpenter company, she was responsible for global talent management and learning, including GC's people strategy and HR communications. There she won the top award from Marsh & McLennan’s Global Volunteer Recognition Program for her ATD volunteer work.

 

Previously Margaret managed and designed learning at DTCC and HSBC. From 2011-2013, Margaret served as ATD NYC’s VP of Programs, and produced high quality monthly events. She also led the project to launch ATD NYC's GPS initiative. In addition, she has chaired the Talent Development Leader SIG and contributed to various strategic chapter initiatives. Margaret earned a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, she volunteers for her community and is active with her daughter’s school.

Theresa Dinh

Theresa Dinh is Vice President of Global Talent Development Operations at Morgan Stanley where she advises internal clients and drives strategy on learning technologies, learning methodologies, metrics and reporting, and knowledge management for the global Talent Development team. Theresa served on the ATD NYC Board of Directors as President in 2016, President Elect in 2015, and VP of Technology for 2013 and 2014, with contributions such as the creation of our innovative Growth and Performance System (GPS), adoption of a better chapter website platform, and streamlining of the Chapter’s technologies and risk profile.  Theresa has a B.A. in Biology from the Johns Hopkins University, and has attended the MD/PhD Program in Biomedical Sciences at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. After 4 years in the biomedical sciences field, she changed careers and joined Morgan Stanley in 1997. Additionally, she embraces her creative side as co-founder and Creative & Technical Director of River Poet Productions, a motion picture and photography production company.

Marshall Bergmann

As Vice President of Executive Perspectives, Marshall Bergmann creates strategy simulations to help Fortune 500 companies accelerate their strategic goals and adapt to the ever-changing global marketplace. For over ten years Marshall has been using gamification to replicate the strategic challenges of some of the world's most highly regarded organizations in seminars around the world. Marshall has given talks about the uses use of games to drive behavioral change in business for at TEDx Gramercy in 2012 and has authored papers on the subject for the Journal of Global Business and Organizational Excellence. Prior to working at Executive Perspectives, Marshall was a Sr. Director at BTS, a global leadership development consultancy focused on simulations and experiential learning. Earlier in his career Marshall launched one of the first cloud-based electronic medical records as Chief Technology Officer of Breathnet, and was an early innovator in the use of web based technologies for process re-engineering and workflow automation. Marshall received his BA from Colgate University with majors in Philosophy and Religion, and his MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU with a focus in finance and new product development. Marshall lives in Montclair, NJ with his wife Meredith, their two children Emery and Asher, and their dog Pickle.


Imran Husain

Imran Husain is the CEO of CDS, a digital agency, focused on designing and developing content solutions for mid-sized and large corporations. Prior to launching CDS 6 years ago, Imran spent more than 15 years in the management consulting industry advising major financial services clients on technology strategy, business transformation and process re-engineering. He serves on the board of several organizations including the Human Development Foundation and the PS199 PTA. He has been a member of various ATD chapters in NYC, Boston and RTP over the last 4 years and has been supporting the board of ATD NYC since late 2014. He has 3 kids and lives on the Upper West Side.



Michael D'Amico

As a leadership and talent development professional with 35+ years of experience, Michael provides coaching and facilitation that drive business results. He has conducted training across numerous industries, including education, manufacturing, finance, government and distribution, as well as not-for-profit.  His areas of expertise include coaching, performance improvement, motivational interviewing, and behavioral interviewing.

 

As a long term UPS employee, Michael served as Northeast Region Director of Training and as Director of Sales in South Carolina and on Long Island.  In addition, he held various positions with UPS in NJ.  Michael’s leadership positions included training, sales management, customer service and operations in New Jersey, South Carolina, Long Island, New York City, and Italy.  

 

Michael holds a Certificate in Training from NYU’s School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, NJ.  In addition, he completed Foundations of Coaching at NYU’s School of Professional Studies.  His volunteer work includes having served on the Board of the Association for Talent Development, New York City Chapter (ATDNYC), as the VP of Marketing in 2012 and VP of Membership in 2013 and 2014 and at Alternatives for Children, a not-for-profit preschool for children with special needs.

 

Michael is currently a facilitator with the NYC Administration for Children's Services providing professional development training for child welfare workers.

Debbie Botwick

Debbie Botwick is a Director on the Marketing Excellence Team at Pfizer.  The Marketing Excellence Team supports skill development for Pfizer’s global community of marketers.  In her role, Debbie partners with global marketing leaders to assess marketing competencies and then develops and executes customized curricula across regions and business units.  Prior to joining her current team, Debbie focused on evolving digital capabilities at Pfizer and is a self-professed dragonfly of the digital ago having spent the majority of her career in digital marketing. 

 

Debbie transitioned into the Learning and Development space several years ago and joined the ATD NYC Chapter to develop her skills in L&D.  She found a community of like-minded individuals passionate about continuous learning and growth.  She began volunteering for the organization within a year of joining the chapter and has found that deeper engagement has enabled her to truly “Connect, Learn and Grow.”  When not focused on Pfizer or ATD NYC, you can find Debbie in extreme climates – doing hot yoga, riding my bike, watching my son play ice hockey or on a ski slope.

 



Pauline Lee

Pauline Lee is a Manager at Deloitte’s Leader Development and Performance group, where she focuses on leadership development, training design, and training strategy. Pauline works on the Relationship Mastery series at Deloitte, a set of courses created to elevate relationships with client executives. Her work has benefitted many Deloitte Partners, Principals, Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers at the company. Her primary focus is on engagement and creating high performing teams at Deloitte. Previously, Pauline was part of Cognizant Technology Solution’s Leadership Development group, creating strategy, developing programs, and advising internal clients on leadership programs involving sales excellence, relationship management, account management, and onboarding. Prior to that, Pauline spent a number of years as a tax consultant in Deloitte’s tax group in Chicago and New York. As a tax consultant, Pauline advised clients on their tax consulting and compliance matters. She also designed and facilitated tax software training. Pauline earned a B.A. in Accounting and Finance, and a Masters in Taxation from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She also earned a Masters in Instructional Technology at Columbia University (Teachers College). Pauline was previously a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with licenses in Illinois and New York.

  



Angela Wright

Angela has over 20 years global professional experience, including more than 10 years experience as consultant, facilitator, researcher and coach. Her primary focus centers on: Leadership, Talent & Organizational Development; Executive Coaching; Strategy; Change; and Transition. She works with individuals, teams and organizations to improve performance, enhance organizational effectiveness and to drive transformational change. Her consulting and coaching engagements span Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and not for profit organizations.

As a former lawyer and corporate advisor, Angela has lead complex international projects worth in excess of $1 billion. As a researcher, she worked on the world’s largest leadership and coaching research project: Leadership in High Stress Workplaces, undertook research into Engagement and Motivation, pursuant to a grant from Harvard University’s Institute of Coaching, and is currently undertaking research on behalf of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council. Angela was part of the writing team responsible for drafting the world’s first ISO (International Organization for Standards) aligned Guideline for the training of coaching and the provision of coaching services. She is also the Co-Chair of ATDNYC’s Peer Coaching Supervision Group.

Angela has a LLB (with honors), a LLM (University of London), a J.D. (College of Law, U.K.) and an MSc in Organizational Coaching Psychology (University of Sydney). Other relevant graduate qualifications include, Human Capital Development & Organizational Effectiveness (NYU), Adult Development (Harvard University), Change Management (Australian Graduate School of Management) and Coaching Supervision (Oxford Brooks University). Angela lives in New York City with her husband, daughter and their dog Bo.

 

Jesus Diaz

Jesus is a Lead for Education partnerships team at Dropbox.  

He majored in Computer Science at New York University and joined the ATD leadership after spending 2016 volunteering with the Programs team and experiencing the excellent, live events and webinars hosted by the NYC Chapter.

 

Sarah Tennyson

Sarah is an organizational psychologist with over a decade of experience consulting on talent development in the financial services sector. She runs her own practice providing bespoke professional development programs with a focus on enabling behavioral change. As ATD NYC’s VP Talent Management, Sarah and her team help members expand their interests and skills through volunteering opportunities with ATD NYC; and identify future leaders for the ATD NYC Chapter. Prior to moving to New York, Sarah was Senior Director at Moody’s Analytics where she led the soft skills training practice. She co-chaired Moody’s UK women’s network and played an active part in promoting gender diversity within the company. Sarah holds an MSc Occupational Psychology and a BSc (Hons) Psychology. She is accredited to use a number of psychometric personality tests and holds the British Psychological Society Qualified Test User Occupational Ability and Personality certificates.


Art Weiss

Art Weiss began administrative work with ASTD in 1998; a time when member service was mostly by telephone and fax. Within a few years, records were shifted from typed lists to spreadsheets and email came into use as a primary means of communication. Hired because of his strong organizational and computer skills, Art has assisted the chapter in a variety of ways, including providing input to the Board about the requests from chapter members and those inquiring about membership. He also maintains information about our various events and serves as a welcoming presence at chapter events.


A native of New York City, Art left Pre-Medical studies to become a piano and music theory major at the Manhattan School of Music. A major musical and organizational achievement was his fourteen-year tenure as Entertainment Director at the New York Playboy Club.


Art is currently active as an accompanist to several singers on the New York cabaret circuit. He combines an active career as a musical conductor, vocal coach and performing pianist with musical composition.
