Career Development SIG: Optimize Your Online Presence to Advance Your CareerOpen in a New Window

A significant majority of companies and/or the recruitment firms working for them are using social media to vet candidates both for a proactive reason to hire - as well as reasons not to hire. It’s possible to find out quite a lot about a candidate from their digital footprint, sometimes irrespective of privacy settings.
Join us for this intriguing session as Fiona McLean shares how to better understand your own social media footprint: what supports your online reputation, what doesn’t, and what you can do to optimize your online presence to advance your career.

You will learn:

- Why your online reputation matters and how it is being used in the selection process
- How your digital footprint can be an effective tool to credential your experience and “soft skills” in a dynamic world
- What successful executives do to effectively manage their online reputation
- How to develop a voice and online connections that accelerate your career
- Key social media pitfalls and how to avoid them
- Key metrics for your online footprint And, if you are interested, you can learn more about how to get a personal assessment report for your own online digital footprint.

This event is for Chapter Members only.
