Have you been asked to create eLearning projects and to “add a lot of interactivity”? Been there. Some kinds of content lend themselves to interactivity--like simulations teaching you step-by-step how to navigate a new software or website. But what if your client’s content is soft skills, like Interviewing or Coaching? Or what if it’s purely informational--an FYI piece that might just as well have been a PDF, but to satisfy a Compliance requirement must be delivered via eLearning? We’ve all been there, done that, right?

Adding interactivity to your eLearning can help elevate it beyond “page turner” status. But the interactions you add should be as meaningful as possible. When the content just doesn’t cry out for interactivity, what do you do? Join us (Andrew Sellon and Mark Cassetta, eLearning SIG co-chairs) for one of our highly interactive, hands-on roundtable brainstorming sessions. We will facilitate a lively back and forth discussion and demonstration of interactivity challenges and triumphs--starring you! While our roundtable pre-work is never required, it’s easy and fun--and if you’ve ever been to one of our communal roundtables before, you’ll know that sharing your own content and ideas is a great way to earn praise and encouragement, and receive genuinely helpful feedback.

For our session on Wednesday evening, March 8th, we encourage you to bring in one sample of interactivity you created for a course that you feel enhanced the learner’s experience. And one challenging topic where you just aren’t sure what kind of interactivity you should add (or use a challenge with an example of how you solved it). That’s all! Just submit your samples (screenshots or whatever you can share) in PowerPoint slides to andrewsellon@gmail.com and mark.cassetta@gmail.com by Tuesday, March 7th. Only attendees will receive the compiled PowerPoint of great ideas after the session. Sign up now, and we’ll see you for a fun and enlightening group session on Wednesday, March 8th!
