Although GFMI targets capital markets participants working at insurance companies, banks, asset management firms, and regulators, this webinar is designed for ATD NYC members regardless of their industries or financial backgrounds.

About our presenter:
Since 1997, Ken Kapner, President & CEO of GFMI, has designed, developed, and delivered custom instructor-led training courses for a variety of clients, including Asset Managers, Regulators, Banks, Insurance firms, Technology, and other support functions. Well-versed in nearly all of the Capital Markets, Ken’s areas of expertise include derivative products, risk management, foreign exchange, fixed income, structured finance, and portfolio management. Prior to starting GFMI, Ken spent 14 years with HSBC’s Treasury and Capital markets area, trading a variety of instruments including interest rate derivatives, spot and forward foreign exchange, and money markets. He also managed the balance sheet, sat on the Asset Liability Committee and was responsible for the overall Treasury activities of the bank. Additionally, Ken spent two years in Hong Kong, heading up HSBC’s Global Treasury and Capital Markets Product training.
Ken has co-authored/co-edited seven books on derivatives including The Swaps Handbook and Understanding Swaps. Ken also sat on the Board of Advisors for the International Association of Financial Engineers for many years. Ken holds an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University in addition to his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York, Cortland.
