Join us for a demo and roundtable discussion on the various ways you can use video to enhance your eLearning, and the basics of how to create your own video clips simply and inexpensively.

Co-facilitators Andrew Sellon and Sally Morgan (professional performers and coaches with experience on both sides of the camera) will lead a group discussion about ways to get started with adding video elements to your eLearning. We’ll explore (and communally brainstorm) different creative ways you can leverage video in your online courses. We’ll even look at examples of interactive video in eLearning. We’ll also go over some basics you need to think about when creating your own videos from scratch, including: room, microphone, lighting, software, and file formats.

Please contribute to this session’s success: If you’ve already included video elements in your eLearning, we hope you’ll share a sample (either in a brief clip, or some screenshots on PowerPoint slides). Or, just share the link to a brief example of video training you love (from YouTube or another public site). If you have a project you’re working on and think video might be a valuable addition, bring in your ideas and we’ll brainstorm together. Please submit all links/brief clips by 5pm Tuesday, 5/16 to: andrewsellon@gmail.com The more examples we can review together, the more everyone benefits!

By the end of the session, you’ll leave armed with lots of great ideas for incorporating video elements in your upcoming eLearning projects—along with basic info on how to create your own, simply and inexpensively. Join us! If you know someone who could benefit from our session and ATD NYC membership--bring along a guest!

He coaches corporate clients and individuals on presentation skills, and voiceovers. Andrew is responsible for adding web participation to all eLearning SIG meetings, and for initiating the popular "roundtable" series of interactive sessions, which have won raves from attendees.

Sally Morgan is also a professional performer with an impressive résumé. She coaches on presentation skills through her company, Powerful Voice of Success, and presented a session in Fall 2016 for the ATD NYC chapter.
